Food group Glanbia says it had a 'good' first-half performance overall, with all divisions performing broadly in line with expectations as market conditions remained 'relatively positive'.

The international cheese and nutritional ingredients firm said global dairy prices and demand are somewhat weaker compared with 2007, but look set to remain above historic trends.

The company said it is on target to meet full-year market expectations and looks forward to deliver another year of double-digit growth in 2008.

The group's interim results are expected to be announced on August 27.
