Yoghurt plant provides 30 new jobs

Thirty new jobs are being provided in Co Offaly at a new organic yoghurt plant for the the Glenisk company.

The 8.5m euro plant at Killeigh, which has been opened by the Taoiseach Brian Cowen, will allow the production of an extended range of products.

Mr Cowen said the 30 new jobs would bring the company's workforce to 55.

The Glenisk company takes in 90pc of all the organic milk produced in Ireland.
